The Laboratory of Neuroscience for Education is now searching for up to four enthusiastic, talented and committed full-time PhD students to join our highly interdiscipinary research team to develop next generation neurotechnology for education. Ideal candidates will possess some of the following qualities or experiences:
- strong basic training in electrical and computer engineering
- extensive Matlab programming experience
- experience in signal processing and pattern classification
- experience in brain-computer interface
- experience in computational neuroscience
- experience in cognitive neuroscience research
- experience in behavioral research

The following scholarships and fellowships are available and you are encouraged to contact Professor Tang or Dr. Wong for guidance:
- Hong Kong PhD Fellowships (HKPF: Deadline: Dec 1, 2016, 12:00). HKPF provides an annual stipend of HK$240,000 (approximately US$30,000) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$10,000 (approximately US$1,300) per year to each awardee for a period of up to three years. More than 230 PhD Fellowships will be awarded in the 2017/18 academic year. For awardees who need more than three years to complete their PhD studies, additional support may be provided by HKU. By applying for the HKPF, the candidate is automatically considered for both the University Postgraduate Fellowships (UPF) (at least HK$205,900 per year including PGS below) and the Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS) (at least HK$188,400 per year)
