Institute of Quantum Electronics

The Institute of Quantum Electronics (IQE), Peking University, was found in 1959. The institute has 5 full professors, 5 associate professors, 1 senior engineer, 1 assistant researcher and 1 engineer. Among them, 1 is Chang Jiang Scholars, 1 is the recipient of Distinguished Young Scholars of NSFC. The number of doctoral and graduate students (academic, engineering) is more than 100. The present projects include National 973 Program, National 863 Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, international cooperation and industrial cooperation projects. Annual research funding is over than 30 million RMB, and more than 30 papers are published annually on international journals.

Research at the Institute is directed towards solving the key issues in quantum technology and quantum electronics. Major research areas include:
