Institute of Computational Linguistics

The Institute of Computational Linguistics was founded in 1986 as an interdisciplinary institute of science and liberal arts, and took the lead to establish the Key Laboratory of Computational Linguistics, Ministry of Education in 2013. The Institute has 3 full professors, 7 associate professors, 1 Lecturer, and 2 postdoctors.

Research at the Institute is directed towards solving the key issues in both fundamental and applied research of language technology, especially on that of Chinese language processing technology. Major research areas include:

(2) Lexical, syntactic, semantic and discourse parsing

(3) Information Retrieval and Information Extraction

(4) Artifical Intelligence and Knowledge Representation

(5) Question Answering and Dialogue System

(6) Machine Learning and Deep Learning

(7) Summarization and Generation
