Lu, Wengao received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. In 2005, he joined Department of Microelectronics, Peking University as an Assistant Professor. Since 2008, he has been an Associate Professor. His research interests include low noise interface ASICs for sensors, ADCs, Power Management ICs.
He has published more than 80 journal/conference papers (including TCAS-I, ISCAS, EL and JCSC) and holds more than 20 patents. He was awarded first class prize of China agriculture science and technology award (2013, Ministry of Agriculture), second class prize of China youth innovation and entrepreneurship competition in Tianjin division (2014, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), and first prize of scientific and technological progress award (2016, Ministry of Education).
Dr. LU has more than ten research projects including NSFC, Special Fund for Agro-scientific Research, etc. His research achievements are summarized as follows:
1) ADCs: He proposed some new column-level ADC methods and system structure to raise precision and decrease power dissipation. He also proposed new pixel-level ADC structure to raise charge handling and SNR.
2) Low noise interface ASICs for sensors: He proposed a low temporal and spatial noise TEC-less frontend mirror readout structure and designed a 17-mm 640*512 readout electronics for micro-bolometer uncooled infrared imager. He also proposed a low power readout structure (active sample, passive hold and active readout), and designed a 15-mm 640*512 readout electronics for for cryogenic infrared imager. Using this structure, total power dissipation is small than 20mW, and NETD is about 16mK.
