Xie, Kunqing Xie is a professor in the Department of Machine Intelligence, School of EECS at Peking University. He has served as the Director of Department of Machine Intelligence since 2014. He obtained his B.Sc. from Shaanxi Normal University in 1982, M.S. from Peking University in 1987, and Ph.D. from Beijing Normal University in 1998. His research interests include intelligent traffic system, spatio-temporal data analysis and data mining.
Dr. Xie has published more than 100 research papers in referred journals and conferences. He has more than ten research projects including NSFC, 973 programs, 863 project, etc. He was awarded the second prize of the state natural science award in 2005, the first prize of Beijing teaching achievement award in 2008, and the first prize of science and technology of China Highway&Transportation Society in 2010 and 2011. He was also the member of the national teaching team and Beijing excellent teaching team in 2008.
