Yi, Na is an associate professor in the Department of Electronics, School of EECS. He received the B.S. degree in radio electronics and the Ph.D. degree in communication and information system from Peking University in 1997 and 2004, respectively. His research interests include satellite communication system and network, network management system, IP QoS and integrated service distribute system.
Dr. Yi has published more than 30 research papers, and some of them are published in top-tier journals. He has also been granted 3 national invention patents. He is now a member of IEEE and senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
Dr. Yi has been in charge of or participated in more than ten research projects. His main research achievements are summarized as follows:
1) Satellite communication system: He has done a lot of work in designing and realizing satellite communication systems and networks. He designed network management system for three satellite communication system. He also designed and implemented control and transfer sub-system of several satellite communication systems. Most of his work has been applied in actual systems.
2) IP QoS: He proposed a new measurement based admission control algorithms to estimate the multiplex traffic and corresponding scheduling model. He also designed the QoS guarantee architecture and mechanism for satellite broadcast system.
Integrated service distribute system: He designed and implement a more efficient and effective integrated service distribute system for satellite broadcast network which support multi-level priority and kinds of traffic such as real time traffic etc.
