Wang, Yanhui is an associate professor in the Institute of Quantum Electronics, School of EECS, since 2007. He obtained his B.Sc. from Beijing Normal University in 2002, and Ph.D. from Peking University in 2007 respectively. He did research on Single Ion Clock from 2004 to 2007 as a joint Ph.D. student at Max-Planck Institute of Optics in Germany. His research interests include Atomic Frequency Standards and High Precision Measurements.

Dr. Wang has published more than 30 research papers, and most of them are published in Optics Communications, Laser Physics, Chinese Physics B, Chinese Physics Letters, and IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium. He also got two patents for the innovations of microwave frequency standards. He is teaching Introduction to Atomic Physics for undergraduates and Principle of Lasers for graduate students. He obtained first class award of Yong teachers’ basic skills competition in 2013 and one Second-Class Prize of the State-level Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2013.

Dr. Wang has more than ten research projects including NSFC, Technic pre-research, National major science and technology projects. His research achievements are summarized as follows:

1)  The frequency stabilities of traditional rubidium gas cell clock were improved, especially working at special environments.

2)  The group proposed, designed and built Magnet-selected and optically detected cesium beam clock. The frequency stabilities are achieved similar as the design.

3)  The group built laser pumped cesium cell clock and lamp-pumped cesium magnetometer.
