Wang, Zhao is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, School of EECS. She obtained her B.Sc.,M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) in 1992, 1995 and 1999 respectively. She was a Postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computer science and Technology, Peking University from 2000 to 2002.Her research interests include network and information security, digital signal processing and recognition, computer education and etc.
Dr. Wang has published more than 20 research papers which involves computer education, information security, wireless sensor network, signal processing, the design of software and hardware and etc. She edited the textbook “The principle and application of information security” which was published by the Publishing house of electronics industry (Beijing) in 2010. The courses she taught include “Data structure and algorithm”, “Introduction of computing” , “Introduction of information security” and etc. She won several awards of teaching including:
- The First prize, Peking University No. 4th multimedia courseware and network course competition (2011)
- The First prize of higher education of Engineering Group, No. 11th National Competition of Multimedia Courseware (2011)
- The Best Teaching Design Award of higher education of Engineering Group, No.11th National Competition of Multimedia Courseware (2011)
