Faculty Positions at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Peking University
The Peking University Department of Computer Science and Technology seeks candidates for faculty positions starting in Jan 1, 2022, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. Appointment will be at all levels of tenure-track (Assistant/Associate Professor) and tenured (Associate/Full Professor) positions. Faculty duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research, and supervision of student research. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science and electrical/computer engineering or a related field by the start of employment. We will consider candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of computer science.

The Computer Science and Technology Department at Peking University was established in 1978, is known worldwide for our broad view of computer science and acting quickly to explore new interdisciplinary directions. We are conducting cutting-edge research in various research areas, such as software engineering, information security, human-computer interaction and multimedia, natural language processing, database, data mining, cloud computing, mobile computing, microprocessor, digital audio and video coding, multimedia communications, computer reconfigurable logic CECARL, non-volatile memory technology, 3D chip technology, hardware architecture for energy-efficient wireless LAN, and energy-efficient applications. The faculty applicants selected for on-site/remote interviews (depending on the epidemic situation) will be invited to attend the Third Youth Forum on the Next Generation Computer Sciences hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Peking University, Beijing, China from Oct. 16-17, 2021. This forum will serve as an exciting opportunity for young scholars to exchange academic ideas and the latest innovations in computing. Travel grants are available to support the selected faculty applicants to attend the forum, including round-trip air tickets and hotel accommodations during the forum.
Faculty applicants should email an application cover letter, curriculum vitae (including names and addresses of three or more individuals who will provide letters of recommendation), a research statement (2-4 pages), a teaching statement (1-2 pages), and PDF files of 3 representative publications to Xiaokun Sun, sunxk@pku.edu.cn.
